Announced in November 2017 by the Australian Government, the Consumer Data Right (CDR) was introduced in Australia. With CDR, consumers have greater access to and control over their data held by a service provider and give consumers the ability to compare and switch between products as well as services. This initiative aims at promoting competition, leading to better prices for customers and more innovative products and services. Open Banking is the first application of CDR to the banking sector.

Data61 - appointed as the Data Standard Body for Open Banking - prepared standards as a baseline for the implementation as CDR.

This app provides easy to use access to the published Product Reference Data Sharing by Australian Banks.
